How are women able to talk for hours on the phone?

Today my mom sister called her and they talked on the phone for like 3 hours. My dad and I were wondering how they could talk for so long. Usually when two guys talk on the phone the conversation is over in 5 minutes tops. I’m just curious what kinda stuff do women talk about when they chat for hours?

Women multitask, so while talking on one subject they can be thinking of the next few things they want to talk about, without losing their place or forgetting like a man would do. Men are like, cars, beer, women, tits, end of conversation.

its really in nature for girls! we can talk for almost an hour anytime we want.. mostly the topics are regarding on what keeps us interested..especially-gossips
For the same reasons guys like me can spend 8 hours playing first person shooters.
I remember my mum used to be on the phone for ages my dad would ask her “are you still on the phone!!!”
I personally cant stand phone conversations 10Min’s max for me just run out of things to say when it comes to phone convo’s
Why Do Women Talk So Much?
Yap, yap, yap, nag, nag, nag, gossip, gossip, gossip! Why do women talk so much? Although the world is full of men who like to talk, and do so often and well, there is a universal stereotype that says that women out-talk men. On average, women do speak about 4000 more words daily than men. Differences in male and female communication styles are not only relevant to how much they talk, but what they choose to talk about, and why.
Men tend to employ a “if it is broke, fix it,” mentality. They believe in taking action when they encounter a problem. It is not uncommon for a man to retreat into privacy to think through a problem without asking the opinions of others. He will ponder, and perhaps even conduct formal research, before reaching a decision. Once he has a solution in mind he will take action to initiate it. After he has successfully addressed the situation at hand, he may wish to talk about the brilliance of his strategy, or the success of his results. Seldom do men want to ask others what they should do about their problems.
Women operate a bit differently. Women like to talk through their problems as opposed to thinking through them in private. Women feel better after explaining their problems to others, even if a solution to the problem is yet to be discovered. Speaking aloud provides a way for a woman to clarify her thoughts and explore the various dimensions of the issue at hand.
Yeah, I totally do that… not often, but when I do, it’s mostly just chattering and gossiping for a few hours. It’s kind of cathartic.

Then I guess I’m more like a guy, normally when I talk on the phone I tell the person what I wanted to tell them get a answer from them then say okay, talk to you later, bye.. The longest I’ve been on a phone, including my cellphone, is 25 minutes. lol
All sorts of stuff. Sometimes it’s about everything and nothing, but it’s a good thing to be able to talk about stuff that bothers you to someone else. Or even laugh with someone. When I call my father, I usually at least have a 30 minute conversation with him. I just enjoy talking about things and laughing with him.
My boyfriend, however, cannot stand being on the phone more than 5 minutes. He would rather talk face-to-face, but for some people the phone is the next best thing when you can’t be with that person face-to-face for whatever reason.
Women will talk about anything and everything but mostly about other women. Other reason they talk so long is maybe no one at home listen to what they like to say about thier day at work/home. Tomorrow ask your Mom what she did and what was her feelings durin her day at home/work, but be sure to listen to her and not fall asleep while she is talking…..Also, Women have genes when they are born to give them the talkability for talking for not only hours but days on a phone, IJK.
well, it’s because we just have a lot to talk about….i think…idk how we do it…..we just talk and talk XD it’s just in our nature that we can talk for hours and hours on the phone XD

females are vocal spiecies. they talk to establish relationship. that’s why females usually share their secrets with friends to tighen their bond, to instill trust and basically to feel closer and personal.
I wonder too. I sure can’t do that. I only speak when I have something meaningful to say and otherwise I shut up. Phone calls for me last about 2 minutes.
